14th Annual Think Positive Gala Raises $66,000!

We are pleased to announce the 14th Annual Think Positive Gala exceeded all expectations with attendance of 295 guests and revenue of $66,000.

Kudos to Cynthia Reynolds receiving the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award! This was a well deserved recognition of her involvement and dedication to epilepsy for the past 20 years.

This year’s gala also introduced the Halyn Murtha Family Assistance Fund in memory of Halyn Murtha. This fund will provide much needed financial assistance to families living with epilepsy.

We are grateful to all our sponsors: Platinum Sponsors: Trinity Health/St. Francis Hospital, Greenwich Biosciences. Dinner Sponsor: Supernus. Spotlight Sponsors: Prime Wellness of CT, Siefert Associates, New England Retail Properties, Hartford Healthcare, UCB Table Sponsors: Tim & Sharon Forbush, Associated Neurologists, P.C., Geffco LLC, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Aimee, Fred, Jane Sorbo, Yale New Haven Hospital, Eisai, Denise & Garry Brower, UConn Health, Mike & Kelly DeBellis, Medtronics Program Book Ad Sponsors: Peoples United Bank, Edward Jones, 16 Handles, Alpha Phi Alpha, SK Life Sciences, John, Joanne, & Laura Delponte, Norcom Cares.

We also appreciate the efforts of volunteers such as Denise Brower, Sarah Golembeski, Michelle Mechanic, Emily Recalde, and Audrey Tyson who worked tirelessly to secure a great variety of wonderful auction items this year!

Special thanks also goes to Darren Sweeney, meteorologist at NBC Connecticut, for attending this year’s event and keeping the evening’s activities on schedule.
