15th Annual Andrew’s Golf Benefit Raises $30,000!
We are pleased to announce the results of the 15th Annual Andrew’s Golf Benefit for Epilepsy! After many years of gloomy weather, we were finally blessed with a gorgeous day for golf.
We are so grateful to everyone that supported the tournament during this unprecedented year. We had 96 golfers attend and were able to raise $30,000! These funds will go directly to our programs and services to help those with epilepsy in Connecticut including information and referral, support groups, education and wellness programs, and Camp Courage.
We are grateful to all of our golfers and sponsors, but particularly to Brian Purdy for taking the initiative fifteen years ago to start this event. There would not be a tournament without his passion for our cause.
Thank you to all of our sponsors: BBQ Sponsors: Hartford Steam Boiler, UCB, Bank of America Private Bank, Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Purdy, Neurelis. Cart Sponsor: Citgo. Breakfast Sponsor: TAAG, LLC. Driving Range Sponsor: Aquestive. Hole Sponsors: Constantine Sealing, Cyr Woodworking. Pretzel Station Sponsor: Team Max: The Amazing Race
We would like to recognize our day of event volunteers for their help in making this tournament a successful event: Cynthia Reynolds, Bill Shea, and Doug Kasultus from New England Golf Guide.
Congratulations to all our winners: Tim Welch, George Sznaj, Andy Torres, and Robert Wiecki were the winning foursome by matching cards with a score of 58, Rick Cyr for winning the “closest to the pin” contest, Tim Welch for winning “closest to the line”, and Evan Cyr for winning the “longest drive” contest. Kudos to you all!
We truly appreciate your support and look forward to your involvement again next year.
