Come on Friends and Family, Help Support Taylor Roo in her fundraising goal!!! Taylor was diagnosed with Epilepsy at age 3. At first it was a slight hand tremor, then her preschool teacher noticed her not responding through periods of the day, her mother noticed her tiredness, the slurring her speech and coordination difficulties. Taylor was having focal seizures and petit mal seizures. Her seizures were causing focusing issues, memory deficits and difficulty learning how to read and write. The Epilepsy Foundation of CT has supported Taylor by participating in her school IEP planning meetings to ensure she gets the supports she needs to learn, by training the staff at Westport Day School in Seizure First Aid and through Camp Courage, an annual summer camp for children with Epilepsy. Taylor attended Camp Courage through the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut for four years. Her nickname at camp is the the "Nature Queen"! Programs like Camp Courage are available to children like Taylor through the generous support of the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut. Please help Taylor's Team Bean support these great programs for all families and children suffering through the challenges of growing up with epilepsy.
