Finding a cure for epilepsy is something near and dear to our hearts. Last fall, our daughter Alexis started having a difficult time paying attention and completing her work to her usual standards in school. A couple months later, she began to have very short seizures throughout the day and nightmares overnight. These nightmares turned out to be seizures as well. The seizures started to occur more often and sometimes became longer. In December 2020, after visits to the pediatrician, emergency room, neurologist, blood work, an EEG, and an MRI, Alexis was diagnosed with epilepsy. Thankfully medication has controlled her seizures and allowed her to regain her focus. We will be walking as a family for this event to show our love and support for Alexis. Lexi has set a goal of raising $150 to go towards epilepsy research so that hopefully one day a cure will be found. If you would like to walk with us, you can join Team Lexi! If you cannot make it to the walk but would still like to support, you may make a donation to help her reach her goal! Thank you!
