Our team is supporting Anna Bonnell, who has had epilepsy since age 11, and is now 37. Anna grew up in Greenwich, and graduated from Greenwich High School. After GHS she went to Westbrook CT, and graduated from Vista Vocational and Life Skills. She’s been living mostly independently until 2019, when her seizures worsened. Anna has tried multiple types of medications, and has two medical implants, a VNS and a Deep Brain Stimulator. Unfortunately, she continues to have seizures, and falls often, requiring trips to the hospital. She has also had the benefit of very supportive doctors and nurses, and her loving family. In spite of all this, Anna is a strong person, and a real trouper. She has a sweet, warm personality, and is very creative, doing ceramics and needlepoint that are truly beautiful! She had a home sale of her ceramics in 2018, and donated half her profits to the CT Foundation for Epilepsy! We hope the Walk for Epilepsy will raise more funds for all the great things that the Foundation does.
