Purple Activities Throughout Connecticut in November 2020:
Here are some purple activities you can participate in to promote epilepsy awareness:
GET SEIZURE FIRST AID CERTIFIED
The Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut is challenging everyone to get Seizure Recognition and First Aid certified in support of National Epilepsy Awareness Month. Join the Seizure First Aid Challenge by signing up for a free Seizure First Aid certification class and help the Epilepsy Foundation reach its goal of training at least 2020 people this November. A local virtual training is available November 9, 2020 at 6:00 pm
THE PURPLE PUMPKIN PROJECT
Grab a pumpkin, purple paint, a paint brush, and some friends...it's time to paint your pumpkin purple.
This Halloween, on the eve of Epilepsy Awareness Month, turn one of your PUMPKINS PURPLE, and encourage others to do the same. Host a PURPLE PUMPKIN decorating or carving event at your home, school or workplace and help your community get seizure smart. When asked “Why is your pumpkin purple?” Please help educate others about epilepsy. Take pictures and send them to us at the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut to share.
