Seizures and You: Take Charge of the Facts

This is an epilepsy awareness program targeting teens and tweens ages 11-18. It is part of a multi-year effort to educate teens and pursue the incorporation of epilepsy education units into school system health education and science curriculum.

Students who complete this training will:

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of epilepsy as a medical condition
  • Identify and learn about different types of seizures
  • Know what to do and what not to do when someone is having a seizure
Through this program we also hope to dispel myths and reduce the perceived stigma associated with epilepsy within the teen population.
