Madison began having seizures at 10 months old. 7 years later she’s still kicking epilepsy’s butt and she does it with a big smile on her face!
Daily life can be a struggle for her. She’s on 3 different seizure medications which all have side effects she has to battle. Epilepsy in children can also come with the added bonus of delays, motor planning issues, and fatigue... all which make school a difficult place to navigate.
Everyone affected with epilepsy has their own story. Ours changes EVERY year. It’s important that we bring epilepsy to light . Let’s stop leaving it in the shadows because it’s scary. The more we know, the more we can change lives!
