Courageous Conleys!

My Name is Valori Mary Conley, I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 6 for no rhyme or reason, my brain has compensated for having epilepsy and I am currently 26 years old I still battle with epilepsy daily but it has not and will not ever deter me away from my life or life goals! I went two years without any seizures and take a ton of medicine, i look forward to the day that i am seizure free again even if that involves the brain surgery my doctors recommend. the amount of tests, blood work and stress your body goes through is a true test on yourself each day, I am a married woman to a loving understanding man who loves me (epilepsy and all) for ME! I am a mom to be! & so much more to the people I love! my support system from my husband is incredible and from my overall family and friends! my parents, inlaws, sister and brother inlaw truly fight with me each day and help make my life better! words cant describe the appreciation I have for them or for my Doctor and the nurses at Yale New Haven who help me become a better me with every visit! Epilepsy can try to knock me down and on some days I feel lower than other days but I get back up, I can be extra tired, moody, my body loses control at times, it affects people I love which can make you feel guilty for having this disability, my body gives out at times which causes me to fall which is extremely dangerous, the seizures feel really "icky" but at the end of the day I am a fighter, I have the courage, i am an optimist, and I will always fight for anyone who has or had epilepsy until we can find a cure! please help me in spreading awareness and donating to this wonderful cause that helps save lives!! I am an epilepsy warrior and I walk to end epilepsy!! this is my story, epilepsy is a part of my life but is not my life and will never define me!
