Spring has sprung and Team H is once again walking to raise Epilepsy awareness and to support all whose lives are impacted by Epilepsy with The Epilepsy Foundation. We are walking to combat the stigma associated with suffering from seizures. We are walking to combat discrimination against those with Epilepsy. We are walking to raise money to find a cure.
As a team, we can make a difference. H’s team of supporters, advocates, and medical experts has certainly made a difference in his and in our lives.
This fall, H attended his first Patriot’s game without needing special security clearance to bring his low glycemic index food into the stadium. While this was a great milestone for H (also for Gronk, who broke the Patriots reception record that day), it was far from his first Pats game. The security team and front office at Gillette Stadium has always been very responsive and supportive of his special needs, enabling H to attend NFL games. It isn’t always the case for those with Epilepsy. Many people, schools and organizations still turn their back to those with seizures. The terrific Gillette team is just a small, but very impactful part of Team H. Inclusion is usually very simple. Seizure freedom is more complicated. Thanks to all Team H supporters over the years. We are really making great strides together.
As always, we would love some company to walk with on May 19th at 10am at Cove Island Park in Stamford, CT. It’s always a great day and a wonderful location to spend a couple relaxing hours by the Sound. Please sign-up to walk. Alternatively, please consider donating to the Team H campaign using the below link. Thanks to all Team H supporters.
